Inter Miami Clinical in Canada: Messi and Suárez Shine at BMO Field


Inter Miami CF continued their impressive run in the 2026 MLS season with a convincing 4–2 victory over Toronto FC at BMO Field on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Despite a late surge from the home side, the star-studded Miami lineup proved too much to handle, led by clinical performances from their legendary attacking duo.

Inter Miami dominated the majority of the match, building a four-goal cushion before Toronto found the net twice in the closing stages to make the scoreline more respectable.

The result has immediate consequences for the Eastern Conference standings as the season progresses.

Inter Miami CF: The win propels Miami to 3rd place in the Eastern Conference with 22 points. They remain firmly in the hnt for the top spot, trailing leaders Nashville SC by only two points.  

Toronto FC: Despite the late goals, the defeat leaves Toronto in 9th place with 14 points. They will need to shore up their defense to remain in the playoff conversation.
