Xavi’s Stance on Replacing Ruben Amorim as Man Utd Manager Revealed

Speculation around Manchester United’s managerial future has intensified, with reports linking Xavi Hernández to Old Trafford amid growing doubts over Ruben Amorim’s long-term position.

Amorim, who only took charge of United earlier this year, has endured a turbulent start to life in the Premier League.

While the Portuguese tactician remains backed by sections of the club hierarchy, recent inconsistencies in performances have reopened discussions about possible alternatives should the situation deteriorate.

One of the names circulating is former Barcelona boss Xavi, who left the Camp Nou at the end of the 2024–25 season after guiding the Blaugrana through a transitional period.

However, according to Spanish outlets close to the coach, Xavi is not considering a move to Manchester United at this time.

The 45-year-old is said to be prioritizing a break from management to recharge after the pressures of leading Barcelona, and he remains selective about his next project.

Xavi has previously expressed admiration for the Premier League but is understood to be waiting for the right opportunity — one that aligns with his philosophy and offers stability. Sources suggest that, while he would not rule out managing in England in the future, stepping directly into the United hot seat so soon after leaving Barcelona is unlikely.

For now, Amorim continues to focus on steadying United’s season. Club insiders insist that there is no immediate plan to make a change, though results over the coming months will be crucial in determining his future.

As for Xavi, his stance makes clear that any talk of him replacing Amorim at Old Trafford is premature — though in football, situations can change quickly.
