Securing the Engine: Arsenal Open Talks for "Rice 2032" 🔴⚪️

The "core" of Mikel Arteta's revolution is officially being locked in. Fresh reports have confirmed that Arsenal have opened formal negotiations with Declan Rice over a brand-new, long-term contract that could see him commit the remainder of his prime years to North London.

Following in the footsteps of Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, and Gabriel Magalhães, Rice is next in line for a "bumper" deal that reflects his status as arguably the most influential midfielder in the world.

The "New Era" Contract Details

While Rice’s current deal runs until 2028, Arsenal are moving early to reward his elite performance levels and leadership.

The Proposal: A new five-year deal (extending his stay until 2031 or 2032).

The Pay Rise: Rice currently earns a reported £240,000-a-week. The new terms are expected to bring him in line with Bukayo Saka (over £300,000-a-week), making him one of the highest-paid players in the club's history.

The Motivation: Sporting Director Andrea Berta and Mikel Arteta want to remove any outside noise and solidify Rice as the de facto leader of the squad.

Arsenal currently sit top of the Premier League (as of March 2026), and Rice’s availability and consistency have been the primary reasons why the Gunners are favorites for their first title since 2004.
