Luciano Spalletti has agreed to become new Juventus manager, deal in place

According to reporting from football journalist Fabrizio Romano and other Italian media outlets, Luciano Spalletti has verbally agreed to become the new Juventus manager. The appointment comes after Juventus parted ways with Igor Tudor on Monday, October 27, 2025, following a poor run of form.

Details of the reported deal include:

A contract that will run until June 2026, with an option to extend based on the club's performance and Champions League qualification this season. Final formal details are being reviewed by lawyers before the official announcement, which is expected on or after Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Spalletti recently indicated his openness to returning to club management after being dismissed by the Italian national team in June 2025.

The 66-year-old previously led Napoli to their first Serie A title in over 30 years during the 2022-23 season.

Context for the change:

Previous Manager: Igor Tudor, who replaced Thiago Motta in March 2025, was sacked after Juventus went eight games without a win across all competitions.

Interim Coach: Massimo Brambilla, the coach of the Juventus Next Gen side, is set to take charge of the team's match against Udinese on Wednesday, October 29.

Poor Form: Juventus sits in eighth place in Serie A, and their winless run accelerated Tudor's exit.
