Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez has dismissed recent speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona.
The Argentine striker, who joined Atleti from Manchester City earlier this summer,
has quickly established himself as a key figure under Diego Simeone. His performances have reportedly caught the attention of Barça, who are in the market for attacking reinforcements.
However, Álvarez was quick to cool the rumours, reaffirming his commitment to Los Rojiblancos.
“I’m happy here at Atlético. I’m focused on giving everything for this club and the fans,” Álvarez told reporters. “I don’t listen to outside noise. My only goal is to succeed here.”
With Atlético placing a hefty price tag on the 25-year-old, any potential move looks highly unlikely.🚨 Julián Álvarez on his future and Barça links: “I’m very calm. There’s always talk but the truth is that the season is just starting now”.
